Bed and Breakfast Design:
Bed & Breakfast Redecorating, Updating and Accessorizing ...
Merrie owns and runs a Bed & Breakfast with her husband in central North Carolina. She is available for consultation and advice on decorating Bed & Breakfasts or Country Inns.
"My husband and I bought this beautiful old house in 2003 and spent a whole year cleaning, renovating, updating and furnishing it before opening as a B&B in May 2004. We completely redid the kitchen and added two new bathrooms upstairs. And since the house was empty, we then had to completely furnish it (quickly). The whole process took us longer than we thought of course.
The appearance of the public rooms and guestrooms is so important to the success of a B&B. From our guests' comments and what we read in the guestbook upstairs, we can tell that our guests appreciate what we have created. The positive response has been overwhelming. We hear and read comments about the house being so beautifully decorated, that it's so comfortable and that it feels like home, etc. etc. They love the colors and are impressed with the attention to detail."
If you would like to see more pictures of the Inn and how Merrie has decorated her 1910 Queen Anne Victorian home, please visit the B&B website at www.theforeverinn.com.
Thank you.
